Forming ideas

Commissioned by Arts Projects & Solutions, we have created an interactive dynamic site for Forming ideas; a development programme for curators who want to work on challenging craft projects.

Forming ideas is part of Arts Council England's Forming the Future, a strategic programme for Crafts in England.

Forming Ideas is a series of international visits, conferences and online discussions that will create a dynamic network of curators and artists. This network will deliver meaningful and exciting debate and collaborative projects exploring the very best in craft practice.

International group visits will be organised to Egypt, all five Nordic Countries and Brazil between October 2008 and December 2009.

There will be three Conferences exploring issues uncovered during research visits to Egypt, the Nordic countries and Brazil.

www.formingideas.co.uk will allow the Forming Ideas community to grow, exchange ideas and knowledge and keep up to date with the programme's development.
